Solunus and the Society
Corporate social responsibility is an integral part of Solunus’ activities. We’re proud to have people who share our passion for a better tomorrow. Our employees participate in various community services enthusiastically because we sincerely believe we make a life by what we give.
FIGHTING THE PROBLEM OF HUNGER
Mother Theresa rightly remarked if you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one. We are committed to playing our part in combating the problem of hunger and work with various organizations to this end.

Our staff members provide over 4500 meals to underprivileged children at the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) in Dallas. The employees volunteer to prepare the nutritious meals for the poor children. We also work with various non-governmental organizations to provide food for the needy.

The program gives us immense satisfaction and words of thanks from the kids make us feel truly blessed.
Our Programs For the Community

COLLABORATION WITH AKSHAYA PATRA
It is rightly remarked children are the most valuable asset of a country; a nation can prosper only when its children are healthy and well-educated. Unfortunately, many kids in India live in poor, unhealthy conditions and are deprived of good education. We earnestly believe we can help at least some of these underprivileged kids.

We have partnered with Akshaya Patra Foundation, a non-governmental organization to provide Happiness Kits to the students of the school. Each Happiness Kit contained nutritious materials, immunity-enhancing substances and various educational articles such as a notebook, pencils, crayons and an activity workbook.

The initiative helped us discover who we truly are; we felt truly blessed by the words of thanks we got from these tiny tots.
HELPING VISUALLY-IMPAIRED KIDS
It is often said sight is the greatest gift of life. However, many children are deprived of this precious gift. We strongly believe we can make a difference in the lives of at least a few of these unfortunate little ones. Out of this belief was born our initiative for the visually-impaired children at Nethra Vidyalaya, a not-for-profit educational institution in Vishakhapatnam, India.

We celebrate the birthdays of our employees by providing nutritious meals to more than 100 children at the school. Our team at Vishakhapatnam also arranges to provide homeopathic medicines to these kids, at regular intervals.

The bright smiles on the faces of the children are the most gratifying experience we can ever get and encourage us to do more for these poor kids.

GETTING GREENER BY GOING PAPERLESS
One of the biggest challenges faced by mankind today is the loss of forest cover. Every year, millions of trees are cut resulting in massive loss to our environment. One of the major reasons for deforestation is the extensive use of paper. We intend to play our role in combating this problem, by becoming a paperless organization.

We have redesigned our communications systems to make them fully online. Our team members use digital tools to work and teleconferences to connect with each other.
We look forward to partner with eco-friendly companies and vendors. We are glad our digital initiatives help us reduce the use of paper considerably, thereby saving several trees. Let the green generators of oxygen live and thrive!
