Solunus Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a dedicated Salesforce partner organization headquartered in Dallas, Texas, USA, organized a program to provide winter clothing to the students of a school run by the non-governmental organization Amma Odi Orphanage. The program was held in collaboration with Save the Child Foundation, Kairos Technologies and the Pennam Foundation, an organization dedicated to serving the poor and the needy.
The event was conducted as part of Solunus’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. The people of the IT company enthusiastically took part in the initiative and distributed sweaters and other pieces of winter clothing to the students of the school. The company is a member of the Pledge 1% movement and has been working with Save the Child Foundation to conduct various programs for the poor.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhakar Pennam, the co-founder and CEO of Solunus, said lack of proper winter clothing is a serious problem as it can lead to various health disorders.
“Many in India are falling prey to diseases in winter due to absence of effective clothing,” said Mr. Pennam. “The program was held to help the kids of the school protect themselves from exposure to biting cold.
